Michel Vanden Eeckhoudt

Exhibition, FRAC, Nord-Pas de Calais, Dunkerque, France.

Until April 30, 2017
FRAC brings a tribute to Belgian photographer Michel Vanden Eeckhoudt by presenting an overview of his work.
The Brussels-born photographer is rooted within the tradition of documentary photography and has worked for various new apers. He has always worked in black and white and is known for his images of humans and animals in funny or awkward situations.
By means of framing, he likes to emphasise certain elements while playing with contrasts, in order to bring a humoristic or melancholic touch to his work. The exhibition consists of more than 60 photos, mainly of animals in difficult situations, as well as other photos he took in Calais.
