One Stroke carpets by NODUS
Invisible Outlines Exhibition, by NENDO, Grand-Hornu, Belgium.
Oki Sato describes the One-Stroke carpet’s pattern like a drawing using a black pen on white paper that never detaches from the sheet of paper, creating a complicated drawing with a very long single line. Over a six-month period, each piece is carefully hand-woven in the Rajasthan region of northern India. The goal was to create a design that makes the eyes of the observer drawn to the trajectory of the pattern.
