From pasta to balloons, the 'we make carpets' project  takes everyday products and materials and frames them within traditional carpet symmetry. Created by designers Stijn van der Vleuten and and Marcia Nolte and visual artist Bob Waardenburg, the trio were connected by the instantaneous way in which these contemporary floor fillers are realised: no sketch, no plan, just a raw material that is meticulously placed until the finished carpet appears.
