Artecnica On The Case

Among the latest product launches from LA-based Artecnica and its Design With Conscience programme are designs that incorporate the recycled large format billboards of international advertising agency TBWA. The first phase of the venture with the agency responsible for campaigns with brands such as Apple, Adidas and Absolut Vodka has resulted in two commercial products, while in a second stage the focus will be on designs and systems for communities in need.
 
Debuting for the collection are sustainable cork cases lined with Apple billboard and available in three sizes: a wallet, clutch or handbag; and Stretch Bags, which have been made by a single cut without glue or a stitch, and come in various colours of recycled billboard or natural brown leather.
 
Artecnica will also be hitting the European roadshow in the coming weeks and you can find the company at the Now! Design à Vivre section of Maison&Objet in Paris (4-8 September) and at DECOoh! (30 August – 2 September) at Brussels Expo, where principal and co-art director Enrico Bressan will give a talk and special presentation.
