OAK releases designs by Ettore Sottsass
Italian brand OAK launched a collection of coffee tables designed by Ettore Sottsass in 2002 during this year's Milan design week.
At an installation inside the brand's flagship store in Brera, the tables were paired with new pieces by Luca Scacchetti and drawings by the late Italian designer and architect. Sottsass' pieces are designed to evoke a staircase concept, based on the idea of change and evolution. The different sized steps and mirrored floor surface alter the perception of this element, transforming it into an ephemeral object that contradicts standard space rules.
