Tornade

Nicolas Bovesse and Keramis

March 2017
Basing his project on tornadoes, Bovesse aims to signify a tumult in our interiors, to talk about climatic change from the perceived safety of our homes.
The small table featuring an earthenware base turned on a potter’s wheel. The piece is the result of a process full of subtle adjustments, where the complexity of making an object of natural beauty emanates from the tension between the human intervention and the specific properties of the clay - an organic transformation rather than an artificial mutation.
Tornade will be on view at ‘Belgitude’, an exhibition by Belgium is Design at Palazzo Litta during the Milan Design Week 4-9 April, curated by DAMNº.
