Somewhere outside Seville…

Sanlúcar la Mayor, a village sprawl 16km outside of southern Spain’s blistering city of Seville has received a lot of press recently as home to Europe’s largest solar platform. It’s a remarkable feat of engineering and when finally all systems are go it will provide clean electricity to some 153,000 households. Yet while it’s now getting used to the term techno tourism, Sanlúcar’s history is not a conventional enviromental fairytale.
