In the German town of Dessau, where the original Bauhaus found a haven before the pre-WWII diaspora of its seminal staff, the results of the audacious eight-year project, IBA Urban Redevelopment 2010, showcases a long-term and wide-reaching response to the state’s consistently shrinking population.
