Tadashi Kawamata's Constructions
A gentle activist and established artist, Tadashi Kawamata is notably modest. His installations are discreet, having only the intention to jog the memory of the viewer. His work is often very temporary, but he sees his art as ongoing, a continual process of dismantling works and making new ones. Starting off studying painting, kawamata rapidly became interested in making installations, going on to make socially engaging works in the uS and europe.
