A Storm in the Desert

A manifesto by Jurgen Bey

October 2011

The director of the Sandberg Institute fervently believes that starting with a wide-open, nay, barren approach to producing art, generates far-reaching visions of the future and effectively promotes progress. And furthermore, that a bunch of individuals must do their individual best while working as a team, to enable the most supreme result. Referencing key works by Francis Alÿs and Wim Delvoye, he puts rather a fine point on it.
