A General Theory of Design

A manifesto by Jerszy Seymour

March 2012

Clearly, the best way to spice up a lecture with such a serious title as 'A General Theory of Design' is to make it into a performance, a theatrical manifesto. Jerszy Seymour has taken the opportunity to turn the sober aspect on its proverbial head and compose a kind of shopping list of expressions and thoughts, set out in a rather staccato way, injecting emotion into an otherwise blackand- white subject.
