The knack for building small has been thoroughly mastered by the Japanese. Given the many constraints that serve to limit the size of a new family dwelling in Tokyo, it is only natural that the request for a fully functional home involves making the most of a tiny piece of land. This has tested the ingenuity of the architects and translated into the development of clever ways to utilise space.
