Tobias Putrih: Between art & architecture
Slovenian visual artist Tobias Putrih uses everyday materials like cardboard and plywood to build structures that hover somewhere between sculpture and architecture. With his installations, ranging from cinemas to auditoriums, he often refers to modernist architects, designers or city planners. The low cost materials he employs and the fragility of the structures themselves render these works temporal in nature, lending them a quality all their own.
