For the love of food

A CLOSE ENCOUNTER WITH MARC BRÉTILLOT

First of all, eating is not an isolated act, according to Marc Brétillot. “Eating awakens all the senses. It stimulates each of them simultaneously, bringing all parameters into play: who you are, the space, the lighting.” He thinks that food design can modify sensory perception. An example is how you feel about the tableware as your plate is placed on the table. This designer believes that eating well does not necessarily mean just satisfying your taste buds.
