A Makeshift City

The Casa do Vapor building project
The cockles of one’s heart are warmed when learning of feats carried out against the odds. In the case of the Casa Do Vapor project, it is simply a matter of livening up a forlorn neighbourhood for a limited period of time, for the sheer pleasure of all who live and visit there, with only the slightest possibility of the efforts taken to achieve the transformation lasting into the foreseeable future. With its dubious status as a fishermen’s village full of semi legal inhabitants, and with developers now champing at the bit to make golf courses, it is an all together peculiar scenario.
