Disciplined Multidisciplinarity

The ways of Thomas Schütte
It makes a nice change to focus for a moment on Thomas Schütte’s engagement with architecture. Of his artistic practice and the magnificent range of materiality conveyed therein – prints, bronzes, sculptures, drawings, watercolours, and so forth, much is known, but less so with his architecture works. Through a great array of scale models – objects he is terribly fond of making, Schütte has created many forms, visualised many structures, and realised a house or two.
