Participatory City: 100 Urban Trends from the BMW Guggenheim Lab

November 2013

Exhibition Guggenheim New York, until 05 January 2014.
This global project offered free programmes about important urban challenges in cities around the world. Led by international, interdisciplinary Lab Teams — groups of emerging talents in the areas of urbanism, architecture, art, design, science, technology, education, and sustainability — the Lab raised awareness of key urban topics, and continues to inspire an on-going conversation online and through the projects it developed. The exhibition explores the major themes and ideas that emerged from the Lab’s travels to New York, Berlin, and Mumbai from 2011 to 2013, accompanied by public programmes exploring architecture, urbanism, and the ways in which people interact with cities and public space.
