Punkt. with Jasper Morrison

Emma Firmin March 2016

For the first time in Italy, Punkt. presents its intriguing new mobile phone, the MP 01. Designed to be used in conjunction with a smartphone, it is for  people  who want  to  get  some  rare  downtime  in  the digital age. It makes calls. It sends texts.  And it knows when to  leave  you  alone.  Displaying  beautiful  minimalism  both inside  and  out,  the MP 01 is  provoking  debate  around  the world   as   people   start   to   question   the   new   ‘always-on’ regime. The focus on simplicity is reflected in MP 01’s styling, which is the work of British industrial designer Jasper Morrison, Punkt.’s artistic director, who has been involved in designing the entire product range.

In addition, the Punkt. Design Terrace allows visitors the chance to relax, while making use  of complimentary phone charging  facilities.  The Punkt. UC  01 USB multi-charger combines practicality, power and  design elegance, and Punkt. is pleased to have been able to be make it in Ceggia (VE), Italy.  For a more analogue experience, the Punkt. Library also allows visitors to browse through a range of books selected by Petter Neby and the Punkt. team, which reveal how modern technology is affecting us in ways were are perhaps not fully aware of.

Headquartered in Switzerland, Punkt. was established by Petter Neby in 2008 with the idea of bringing a breath of fresh air into the consumer electronics market with outstanding, timeless products designed to do their job, without intruding on their owner's time and attention.
