Exhibition, Design Museum Copenhagen, Denmark, until 30 August
From junk playgrounds and Odder’s perambulators to Winther’s tricycles and LEGO blocks. As well as reflecting the prevailing attitudes towards children at various points in history, this exhibition reflects the phenomenon of childhood itself. Here you can explore 20th century Nordic art, architecture, and design for children. The presentation covers all aspects of child-centred design, from posters, toys, and children’s books to furniture, schools, and playgrounds – with a particular focus on Danish design.
