Djordje Ozbolt: Brave New World

Exhibition, Hauser & Wirth, Somerset, UK.

From January 19, 2017 until May 7, 2017
A solo exhibition by Djordje Ozbolt follows the artist’s residency at The Maltings studios. It features an entirely new body of work created and conceived there, with the title borrowing its name from the 1932 science fiction cult classic by Aldous Huxley, a reminder of the notorious line from Shakespeare’s The Tempest – with both references rousing feelings of nostalgia and wonderment. Ozbolt is known for his playful subversion of history, memory, and contemporary culture, and Brave New World is a development in both scale and ambition. The show includes paintings, drawings, sculptures, and installations, along with interventions in the architecture and landscape of Durslade Farm.
