Europe, Europe

Installation view, photo: Astrup Fearnley Museet

Exhibition, Astrup Fearnley Museet, Oslo, Norway, until 1 February 2015.
Bringing together over 30 young artists under the age 35 from eight European cities (Berlin, Brussels, Paris, London, Zurich, Prague, Lisbon, and Oslo), the general theme of this exhibition is the mobility and migration of artists within Europe, the fluidity of artistic ideas, and the encounter between different artistic and cultural scenes. With the development of the EU and the disappearance of frontiers, the interrelationship between European countries has radically changed knowledge production within art schools, often producing intellectuals who then become artists or even critics, curators, gallery workers, or other kinds of art professionals.
