Footprint. The Tracks of Shoes in Fashion
Exhibition, MoMu, Antwerp, Belgium, 03 September 2015 – 14 February 2016
This exhibition tells the story of the inspirational and ground-breaking shoes of the 20th and 21st centuries, shining a light on those designers who left their ‘footprint’ on the world of shoes by means of the exquisite and innovative designs they created. Their craft and art came together in architectural shapes, making a mark on the fashion imagery of their time. Included are insights into the evolution and design of shoes by individual designers and creators, many of whom have influenced footwear for decades. A book accompanies the exhibition and promises to be a true feast for shoe enthusiasts and fashion lovers alike.
