As an essential part of the Belgium-based Biennale Interieur programme since 1972, the Interieur Awards have achieved a strong international reputation as a stepping stone for new talent.
The Biennale Interieur, known for its uncompromising international selection of
contemporary design, has been a strong force in the field of design events since it took place for the first time in 1968. Unlike other trade fair organisers, Interieur adopted the status of a non-profit organisation from the start and brought an innovative model to represent design as a cultural as well as a commercial entity.
Lina Kanafani, Noé Duchaufour Lawrance, Lowie Vermeersch, Matylda Krzykowski, Philippe Grohe, Rolf Hay, Francesca Sarti and Robert Klanten are the members of the jury for the Interieur Awards 2014.
