Jardins D’Orient - From the Alhambre to Taj Mahal
Exhibition, Institut du Monde Arabe, Paris, France.
The exhibition fully invests the interior spaces of the building as well as expanding through the vast esplanade, with 2000 square metres of outstanding ephemeral garden, especially designed by Michel Péna.
With a walk through history and a contemporary reinterpretation of Eastern gardens is an unusual and sensorial circuit, from antiquity to recent innovations. Artworks, scale models, and historical documents illustrate the classical Arab- Muslim garden and its evolutions. Continuing on into the temporary garden, visitors can discover the recomposed image of a masterful anamorphosis of vegetation – the star-shaped polygon created by visual artist François Abélanet.
