Nomad St. Moritz 2020
Chesa Planta, an Alpine mansion in the Engadin Valley
After the successful Nomad Venice, Nomad St. Moritz will be back from 6 to 9 February 2020. This exhibition offers selected items of collectible design and contemporary artworks at Chesa Planta, an Alpine mansion in the Engadin Valley.
The works on display will range from carpets to experimental manufacturing of some materials. Among hand knotted carpets we will see some special pieces from the Orientations collection by Lebanese design studio David/Nicolas. Moreover, Le Salon, curated by The Invisible Collection, will present pieces by Pierre Yovanovitch, Ron Arad, and Charles Zana, and works by Arab designer Shahad Alazzaz.
A large section of the exhibition will be dedicated to artworks and fine craftsmanship. Among them, glass and blown glass vases and sculptures, ceramics, and works in other materials, such as Japanese bamboo basketry from the early 20th century.
In addition to contemporary design and art, Nomad St. Moritz presents a selection of design pieces by the masters of the 20th century. Galleria Luisa Delle Piane will showcase La tavola degli Elementi, designed by Piero Lissoni for Alpi, a collection of 5 small architectures.
