Oslo Design Fair
Design Fair, Norges Varemesse, Lille røm, Norway.
The Oslo Design Fair is Norway's largest and most important meeting place in the design and interior decor sector.
Oslo has become a popular destination for those seeking cultural and culinary inspiration along with opportunities to experience both pristine natural beauty and elegant urban architecture. The Oslo Design Fair extends its focus beyond the exhibition area, with a programme in the city developed in conjunction with relevant industry players. With open showrooms, shops, galleries, product launches, and social events, the objective is for Oslo and the surrounding region to become a vibrant design destination.
An exciting programme related to the autumn theme, the past future, awaits. How does the past affect the formation of the future and how does this reflect in the present? Through the trade fair programme, the theme will be highlighted from different angles. Daniel Rybakken, one of the most renowned Norwegian designers, will talk about his work, trend analyst Gemma Riberti from leading trend agency WGSN will give insight into the interior trends for 2018, and Blomqvist Nettauksjon will present a crash course in Norwegian design history. Other highlights include Frama founder Niels Strøyer Christophersen, partner of renowned Note Design Studio Christiano Pigazzini, and Dutch design studio Raw Color.
The Oslo Design Fair is also proud to present the critically acclaimed Norwegian exhibition Everything is Connected, which was first shown during the design week in Milan in April. Stylists Kirsten Visdal and Per Olav Sølvberg also present a trend show in which they have interpreted the fair theme through four trends they believe will transpire in the future. New exhibitors include Danish Frama, Spanish Nanimarquina and Norwegian Northern Lighting. Lots to enjoy, in other words!
