Seoul Fashion Week

Hosted by Seoul Metropolitan Government and organized by Seoul Design Foundation, Seoul Fashion Week is a biannual series of global fashion business events, held in March and October. Seoul Fashion Week is operated strategically with a goal to become one of the most prominent fashion weeks of the world, following after New York, Paris, London, and Milan Fashion Weeks.
Seoul Collection, which is a series of top Korean designers' fashion show, it is one of the largest fashion business events in Korea. First held in 2000, the Collection has become the most distinguished collection among all along with the growth of Korean fashion industry.
‘Generation Next’ has established its prestige of fostering up-and-coming designers. The participants are restricted to designers of independent fashion brands that have one to five years of short history. Presented with uncommon perception and unique ideas, the collection serves as a gateway for the next generation designers.
Seoul Fashion Week supports fashion shows by selecting 40 Seoul collections and 20 new designers, Generation Next, every season. Generation Next is a program to support young designers who have been registered for more than one year and less than five years. They are fully supporting the trade show participation fee through the fashion show as well as the trade show Generation Next Seoul.
In particular, Seoul Fashion Week this season will further strengthen the support for Generation Next. In addition to the judging panel composed of domestic and international fashion experts,
selected 20 'Generation Next' competent with MCM. In addition to supporting existing fashion shows and trade shows, and MCM provided 100 million won Will sponsor creative activities for individual designers. Also, new designers named 'Generation Next' are introduced in the Vogue Korea. The final participating brand can be found at the Seoul Fashion Week website on August 4th.
