Contributing to Utopia, the city art festival of Lille 3000, Siegrid Demyttenaere (DAMN° magazine) & Sofie Lachaert (atelier lachaert dhanis) – lsd2 creators – developed an engaging art-program where all sentences will be triggered. The result, titled with The Garden of Eden, is an inviting, animating presentation; celebrating and stimulating the human pursuit of a better world through the critical eyes of artists.
On this occasion, Siegrid and Sofie turned the Maison Folie Wazemmes, Moulins Folies Moulins and the Eglise Sainte-Marie-Madeleine (commonly called Grosse Madeleine) into artistic laboratories, where ambitious future-oriented ideas interact and where valuable prospects are dreamt up, planned and visualised.
The Garden of Eden also echoes in the main railway station and the Rambla where a huge installation of Joana Vasconcelos and Kim Simonsson’s gigantic Moss People are welcoming all visitors throughout the world for their utopian discovery.
