in Kemistry Gallery London, UK
As a young designer, Graham McCallum, one of the gallery’s founders, went to a talk by Seymour Chwast & Milton Glaserin London. To him they epitomised what being a designer was all about. “They created work that was so fresh, intelligent, witty, thought-provoking and beautifully executed, I was in awe.” Push Pin Studios was a graphic design and illustration studio formed in New York City in 1954. Directed by Glaser and Chwast, it became one the most well respected graphic design studios. The Push Pin Graphic, their bi-monthly publication, is on display here alongside a series of posters and early, rarely seen sketches, in addition to more recent work.
