AYNO by Stefan Diez for Midgard
Directional light is the core theme for Midgard. So far, the designs of company founder Curt Fischer have shaped her wall and table lamps. Now Stefan Diez, together with Lina Fischer from the Diez Office, has completely rethought the once revolutionary approach: A fiberglass rod, a cable and two adjustment rings form the basis for AYNO. The rod and thus the lamp can be bent without any joints, only with the aid of the steplessly movable rings. The cone-shaped screen can be pivoted. "We questioned all the conventional components of a floor lamp and designed the possibilities behind the currently available technology in terms of a holistically designed lamp," said Stefan Diez. "Flexibly high 10" is AYNO, says David Einsiedler, who, together with Joke Rasch, woke the company founded in 1919 from its slumber. The steerable light in the form of wall and table lights, which perfectly illuminate the workplace and the home, is undergoing a modern development. The few components can be assembled easily and practically without tools.
