Wästberg has launched a family of lamps called w171 alma, developed in collaboration with Swedish architects Tham & Videgård. “The starting point for w171 alma is the creation of a clear design built on the concept of circles of soft sine waves, diffusing light in delicate way.
The shape is based on a continuous round wave, where light is created out of the satin matte finish. The lamp was originally developed for a brand new co-working project in Stockholm called Alma.” It can be installed on its own or in a cluster, generating patterns of floating points of light. Due to its slim silhouette, w171 alma can be mounted directly on the ceiling or wall, or suspended freely.
