'Clay Amplifier’ is a series of speakers which amplify sounds from your phone. Inspired by Dolium, a large earthenware vase or vessel used in ancient Roman times for daily use. It was also used as a speaker in concerts.
How would the ceramic amplifier develop when it does not conform to modern technology? Just like the ancients substituted it with commodity, ‘Clay Amplifier’ has been designed using shapes inspired by combinations of commodities like plates and bowls. These shapes have been put together to create amplifiers that fit the modern way of listening to music, which is via the smartphone.
