DAMNº selects at MDW19: Caffè Populaire
Canadian handmade lighting specialist Lambert & Fils teamed up with the Milan-based DWA Design Studio for the Caffè Populaire. A six-day concept café at the Alcova space, Lambert & Fils described the project as a way to bring ‘people and design into dynamic encounters through the essentiality of food’ – a true feast by two design studios that share the belief that design cannot exist without dialogue. Down to earth with a healthy dose of generosity, DWA Design Studio reimagined Alcova – which in a previous life was a panettone factory – as a multisensory space filled with installations from international design talents. And for Lambert & Fils it was the ideal place to showcase two new contemporary lighting collections: Sainte and Hutchinson.
