Magis will be present at Milan Design Week from September 5 to 10, 2021, and we are looking forward to welcoming our audience after a long break.
At Supersalone, the new format of Salone del Mobile, we will present Costume – the modular sofa system designed by Stefan Diez. Its revolutionary approach can fulfil the criteria of a circular economy, underlining our commitment to sustainability and innovation. Our visitors are invited to explore the concept and discover its endless modularity and flexibility.
The Magis Showroom in Corso Garibaldi will be showcasing an inspiring selection of the latest furniture and accessories of both the Magis and Magis Me Too collection.
The visitors will be greeted by a spacious landscape of Costume sofas at the entrance area, offering a further opportunity to get familiar with our youngest innovation. Above the Costume sofas, an extensive installation of Clouds by Benedetta Mori Ubaldini showcases a new version in fluorescent orange.
Further inside, Konstantin Grcic's Bell chair is waiting for you. Made from recycled and recyclable plastic, it proves how tradition can be turned into innovation.
The Officina High Back by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec adds greater comfort at home and in public spaces with its refinement and elegance. The lounge chair features a high backrest and generous seat, and combined with the Ottoman; they are the perfect pair for the relaxing lounge area. This area will also host a special version of the Déjà-vu mirror.
A particular highlight will be a limited edition of the Nuovastep by Andries & Hiroko van Onck to celebrate Magis 45th anniversary. As one of our collection's oldest designs, the step-ladder perfectly embodies our initial approach to giving dignity to everyday objects. Nuovastep Limited Edition comes with steps in white ABS and a frame in fluorescent orange aluminium.
Frottage, designed by Beba Restelli & Denis Guidone, is a new game in the Magis Me Too collection that motivates our younger visitors to express their creativity. A series of five colourful two-sized boards offering ten different raised textures inspire children to draw and create endless combinations.
Further highlights from the Magis universe await you in the basement.
Pierre Paulin's Elysée, the modular shelving system in a new version with red-stained plywood, and a new version of Alessandro Mendini's legendary Magis Proust in multicolour. The Troy Lounge Chair by Marcel Wanders, Jasper Morrison's Plato chair, and last but not least, the rotating fun chair Spun for an unforgettable experience.
The restrained architecture of the Milan Magis Showroom elevates our designs and offers visitors the opportunity to explore the Magis way, to socialise, or just to get inspired.
