Cruso and Benoît Deneufbourg
When Benoît Deneufbourg first met Olivier Stévenart, founder of Cruso, the designer was struck by his passion for wood and woodworking.
The Paddle stool is the second collaboration between Deneufbourg and Cruso, joining the Paddle collection that was launched in 2016. Like the Paddle chair, it is inspired by the soft curves of a paddle’s blade - a tool full of movement and meaning. For the designer it was important to share the language of the maker: to match the meticulously crafted balance of proportions, details and assembly of elements with Cruso’s commitment to the skills and knowledge of the artisan.
Paddle Stools will be on view at ‘Belgitude’, an exhibition by Belgium is Design at Palazzo Litta during the Milan Design Week 4-9 April, curated by DAMNº.
