Patricia Urquiola for cc- tapis

February 2018
Patricia Urquiola’s new projects for cc- tapis, which were first presented at Milan Design Week 2017, express a strong geometric pattern inspiration. Rotazioni plays on the repetition of overlapping cylindrical forms, emphasising the circle as the matrix of the design. A scale of pastel colours and chromatic contrasts insinuate the gradient on the surface of the cylinders, in turn creating a three-dimensional effect. This enhances the volume and dynamic composition of the design.

DAMN°66 Materials presents products that are the new generation of products. Says Productivity editor Patrizia Coggiola about the Suprematist trend:

"Monumental patterns and proportions that recall those historical avant-garde researches for the pure form, where the perfected polished geometries were applied on huge scales. A vivid visual power, creating paintings or sculpture-like elements that one could enter and live in."
