One Minute past Twelve

Victor Papanek published Design for the Real World in English in 1971, at a time when the affluence and progress of consumerism and technology in the western industrial nations had already lost credibility. That was pretty good timing, in as much as it caught the attention of the youth who were quick to blame their parents for ruining the planet, not to mention the generally disgruntled, who were seeking alternative solutions in regard to design, production, and consumption.
