This year’s 7th Art Dubai fair and 11th Sharjah Biennial have served to emphasise the prominent role that the United Arab Emirates has come to play in the international art world. Meriting the presence of top international galleries and artists, both events, however contrasted by their atmospheres (on the glitz register), have featured impressive contents and brought in a healthy slew of visitors from far and wide.
