Anatomy of Fruit

Fruit has a way of decaying in a relatively short space of time. This is readily observable in one’s own fruit basket, but even more fascinating to see in multiple at an Asian/African street market. For Lorenzo Vitturi, this characteristic became a direct focus soon after he started visiting the Ridley Road Market in East London. After much observation and research, he began to create sculptures that exhibited the self-same qualities as the fruit in the stalls.
