Hans Op de Beeck’s parallel universe
Having just returned from São Paulo, where he presented a recent work, Hans op de Beeck greeted DAMn° at his studio in Brussels, to talk about his art practice and how he manages to make drawings, paintings, sculptures, life-size installations, novels, and short films, often simultaneously and in the spirit of much joy, and to exhibit them all over the world at the rate of some 30 shows per year. It would appear to be all about balance, with challenge and reward in equal measure.
