Light comes in all intensities. It always has. And for a couple of centuries already, man has enjoyed the benefit of artificial lighting powered by electricity. The only difference is that now, there has been a kind of second coming. The LED has arrived, as has its organic cousin, the OLED, and, in short, technology is transforming the face of lighting as we know it. Not only is our well being affected, but so is energy consumption. Many artists, designers, and architects are feeling a great deal of glee about what this means regarding their work. This section of the magazine explores the implications from every angle.
