24/7 The Human Condition

The achievement-oriented society of the 21st century has between labour and leisure, private and public, and is still attempting to counteract its exhaustion by means of selfoptimisation. As an alternative to financial capitalism and the 24/7 syndrome, in the sense of permanent availability and constant readiness to work, a definitive performance rating acquires the status of immortality, with which it becomes inscribed in the memory of generations and communities. This group exhibition assembles young artists in the context of the extended Viennese art scene. It includes existing works and new output, (further) developed and interconnected thematically in a dialogue between the artists and the curator.
