Alex Katz - This is Now

A major exhibition of more than 40 works by internationally acclaimed artist Alex Katz, including 15 monumental landscape paintings, are brought together for the first time. Katz’s unique artistic treatment of the landscape is traced throughout the trajectory of his career, from the 1950s collages that use the environment as a setting for the human figure, to his later works that illustrate a shift to landscape as the principal subject in his oeuvre. Approximately one third of the paintings featured here were created within the last decade, offering the opportunity to view the recent works alongside earlier pieces.
