Ukrainian Fashion Week

Fashion Week, Kiev, Ukraine.

From September 4, 2017 until September 10, 2017

Ukrainian Fashion Week is proud to announce its 20th anniversary in 2017.

Ukrainian Fashion Week was founded in 1997, becoming the first prêt-à-porter event in Eastern Europe. It takes place twice a year and fully meets global standards of prêt-à-porter fashion weeks. The event showcases collections of more than 60 participating designers, accredits around 200 Ukrainian and international media, and draws over 20,000 guests.
The founding of Ukrainian Fashion Week 20 years ago gave designers a professional platform for their development; one that corresponded with the global format of prêt-à-porter fashion weeks. Still, Ukrainian Fashion Week is the best platform in Ukraine for designers' work and growth.
Ukrainian Fashion Week always acts to fulfill designers’ internationalisation needs, by supporting their development and progress, and promoting them in the international fashion world by taking part in fashion weeks, exhibitions and showrooms. Last season Ukrainian designers supported by Ukrainian Fashion Week were successfully presented at London Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week.
“We thank all people who during 20 years have taken part in creating new Ukrainian fashion. We aim to make people talk about Ukraine as a country with modern culture and talented people,” says the head of UFW organising committee, Iryna Danilevska.
