Plusminus by Stefan Diez for Vibia

The simple strap that holds luggage in place on a car roof rack or a bicycle carrier has been the inspirational starting point for a new series of lamps by Stefan Diez for Spanish producer Vibia. The project Plusminus is still at work-in-progress phase. To achieve the desired technical definition, Diez worked with a Berlin-based institute in order to come up with a textile strap that would allow the conduit of an electrical current through its entire length. This strap is then used in different ways to attach the various light sources of the collection to bring light wherever it is required. The electric conductive strip, which is also a decorative element, will be able to support four different light sources, generating very different effects and ambient moods.
