Primitive Structure by Michael Anastassiades

One of 15 new designs launched at Euroluce (Salone del Mobile) by Michael Anastassiades, Primitive Structure is the designer’s first task light. Simply stacked in a T-shape are two geometric rectangular forms of black anodised aluminium. In this simple yet powerful solution we can recognise the honest use of materials, familiarity of form, and clarity of function that have become the designer’s signature style. In this lamp, the point where the two rectangular blocks rest is the point of rotation, allowing for a sequence of dimmable light that alternates on a 180° pivot. This task light is wireless so that you can place it in any possible location, with a battery life of eight hours that is recharged by USB.
